During my time in a Digital File Prep and Workflow class at Cal Poly I created a set of one-of-a-kind playing cards. Having been to Greece previously I found inspiration throughout the country, ultimately having it be the muse of my card set.

Playing around with postage motifs, I made a postage stamp icon for the card corner symbols. On the front cover of the cards I added a postmark, as if the cards were postcards straight from Greece.

My chosen suits were olive branches, corinthian columns, lyres, and greek flags. I created these symbols with help from the Illustrator brush tool, adding texture and pops of color to the icons. The royalty I chose included Zeus, Athena, and Hermes, another small play on postage.

This was one of the first projects which I learned about the pre-press process. I focused on clean files, CMYK specific colors, and file size. After designing and printing the cards, I also created a playing card box design.
